We are a group of independent Clinical psychologists / Psychotherapists with specialist psychoanalytic / psychodynamic training and interest in depth psychotherapy modalities from various foundational backgrounds – including Clinical Psychology and Social Work. As individual practitioners, we have come together as a collective with the aim of working deeply with people expereincing life struggles.
By establishing and building a deep trusting connection, we aim to help people with complex emotional and relationship problems expand their self-awareness towards healing and transformation of their suffering and confusion. Our work priveleges the unconscious over the conscious through psychoanalytic/psychodynamic depth work approaches underpinned by foundations within Object-relations, Jungian and Relational theory and practice. Whilst other short-term intervention based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treat mental health problems through our conscious thoughts, beliefs and emotions, depth psychotherapy focuses on the connection between our psychological difficulties in adulthood and our unresolved or unsatisfactory experiences in early life as well as disturbances within our psyche which we are often not aware of, and which are re-triggered by distress associated with current life difficulties and symptoms. This way of working assists people with a range of difficulties such as underlying confusion with who one is, issues relating to anxiety and depression, problems in living, sexuality and sexual identity, unresolved grief, relationship difficulties and mental health challenges that have not responded to other forms of treatment, such as medication or other short-term treatments.
